Stag Lodge, as we call it, was part of the original farm stead built on this land during the period of reclamation on the moor in the 1800’s. The building has, over time, fallen in to disrepair due to lack of use and purpose.
The building is being renovated ready to welcome guests from Autumn 2022. It will sleep two in absolute luxury – think Vi Spring mattress, Sofas & Stuff furnishings, Aga, Chesney’s woodburner, Water Monopoly bathroom…
Stag Lodge is situated in one of the most special areas of the estate. It’s easily accessible via one of the main farm tracks but still as private as can be with unbeatable views up to Hangley Cleave. You’re more than likely to spot a stag on the moor (rather than just the bronze statue in the garden) from here!
With walking right from the doorstep and a wild swimming plunge pool some 20 yards away, Stag Lodge is an unbeatable couples retreat.
